Berlin, 22 September 2026

The MERMEC Group is among the key players at InnoTrans 2026, one of the world’s leading international events for the railway industry and a major meeting point for companies, operators, infrastructure managers and institutions from around the globe.
For the Group, the event represents an important opportunity to engage with the market and showcase its global leadership, expertise and technologies in railway infrastructure diagnostics and signalling, as well as rail safety – areas that are increasingly central to the efficiency, reliability and development of railway networks.

Against the prestigious backdrop of the AXICA Congress Centre in Berlin, the MERMEC Gala Conference brought together representatives of the international railway industry to discuss the main challenges and future prospects facing the sector. The event was opened by Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, CEO of Ukrainian Railways, setting the stage for an evening dedicated to innovation, infrastructure development and the future of rail transport.
Among the highlights of the conference, the “Railway Talk” with David Van de Sype, Chief Operations Officer of Infrabel, focused on the role of diagnostic technologies in the evolution of Belgium’s railway network. The discussion also highlighted the new fleet being developed by Infrabel together with MERMEC, designed to improve infrastructure monitoring, anticipate potential issues and support more efficient maintenance. The fleet is also set to become the world’s first trimodal diagnostic fleet.

Several companies that contribute to the strength and complementarity of the Group’s expertise are also represented at the Berlin trade fair. These include AngelStar, the joint venture between MERMEC and Stadler specialising in onboard signalling and control systems, and CSEE – Compagnie des Signaux, a long-established company operating in France and Germany in railway signalling and integrated solutions for passenger and freight transport.

“Being here, in an environment of international dialogue among the leading companies in the railway sector, is extremely important for us. It is an opportunity to engage with the industry’s major players and, at the same time, confirmation that our growth journey is continuing. We are ready to take on the new challenges of the market with ambition and to compete as a leading player on the global stage,” said Giuseppe Gaudiello, CEO of MERMEC STE.

“InnoTrans represents an important opportunity for MERMEC, CSEE and AngelStar to engage with the international railway sector and to showcase the complementarity of the expertise across our Group,” said Ruggiero Delcuratolo, Group Managing Director of MERMEC. “Innovation, the integration of different areas of specialisation and a deep knowledge of our markets enable us to work alongside leading operators and infrastructure managers, contributing to the sustainable development of rail transport worldwide.”
